Mental Illness

I decided to write this one because I know many people who have suffered from mental illness. I think people should have a true understanding and be aware of what a mental illness really is, as well as acknowledging its existence! It's just disturbing to see how many people ignore it or decide to judge other people because they think that person is "sad all the time"...

Pain is more than a physical ailment…
While the human race is one that should be simple, but isn’t,
You only see someone's outside
And are unable to feel their inside…
Inside could be filled with unicorns and rainbows,
With blood and hatred,
Or even a tearful sorrowed sky…

You never know…

People are so judgmental these days,
Triggering some to break down
Some to back down
Others to fight back!

A visible smile could mean a world of hurt,
While straight face can mean relaxed or content!

You never know…

A small figure may represent fear…
A large figure may represent carefree…

You never know
Awareness is a must
We're all from the same dimension
That isn’t all smiles unfortunately…

Everyone feels that people need to see unicorns and rainbows all the time…
That is a false assumption!
People turn a blind eye to sorrow
People give a cold shoulder to suffering
People turn their back on someone who’s intensely ailing internally
People want to seize the day without introducing themselves to the truth…

Sheltered...

Confidence may not be bolstering through everyone
Coughing or sneezing isn't the only representative of an illness
It can be buried within your soul as well!

What does that mean?

People who are very jacked up in the head,
It isn't always their fault
You can't point a finger to depression, anxiety, and other mental illnesses…

For all you judgmental people all there,
Don't blindside someone's internal feelings and think they’re full of crap…
These painful emotions are worse to suffer through than a cough or cold
And could even kill you
At the most spontaneous time…
You never know…

Think about that and see how you feel now…
Don't blindside the unknown!
You don't know what it truly means until you're faced with it!

If you see someone’s apparent sorrow
Extend your hand and place it upon their heart…

It can truly save a life!
