Never Give Up!

There are many reasons why I strongly advocate for people to never give up. Not only will it not fix your problems, bit it will cause you to end up in an endless pit of despair, regret, and questioning "why me". In the midst of your pouting, you will not win if you sit on a chair and wish you would have done xyz, but haven't and never did. You can't change the past. One may only wish "if only there was a time machine or magic remote". That will unfortunately probably never happen because the alteration of time is a figment of your imagination. While advocating never giving up, I still need to take my own advice in the face of pain, rejection, and the occasional "I feel like I'm not going to make it anywhere/I suck at everything". While you may have those feelings of doubt, uncertainty, and a loss of the will to continue fighting, no matter what, there is always a little ounce of will in you, no matter how many times you are thrown off the horse. It is never too late to do something you haven't done before. If you take advantage of every opportunity, more doors will open. You do need to choose wisely if too many are coming your way. If a door is slammed in your face, another door will open right next to you. Don't let your emotions get the best of you. You will not win. People give all the cliche advice to you all the time, which is the standard of how to conduct your life. No matter what skills you have or do not have, you have to market yourself with what you do have and not dwell on what you're missing. We are human and cannot and will not possess every possible skill set one may need. In the midst of disappointment, all you can do is bang your fists in frustration, maybe cry, and scream across a seemingly empty lab. After that, you have to get back on the horse and keep chugging along. The horse won't leave unless you forcefully make it leave. Success is inevitable if you keep trying. Success will leave you if you do not try. Let the fire keep burning and you will go far. It will not extinguish unless you extinguish it. If you live by the quote, "Nothing is difficult. Everything's a challenge through adversity to the stars until the last day we fight", you will surely be a success in life!

How to be a True Friend

What does it mean to be a true friend?

Many people push this definition aside
Like throwing away food with an unpleasant taste
And causing hurt
To feed their selfish desires…

Judging away
Is like artificial flavoring found in unhealthy food
Smiling while ignoring the other side's pain
Is ignorant
And you are unknowingly being a bully…

If you do that, you read the friendship book wrong…

To be a true friend,
You can't turn the other person blue!
You need to find the clue
That makes the other person win
Making them feel big
While not acting like a pig
While being daring
And proceeding on the world's most epic adventures!

Show them that you care!
Always be there
While not making them feel bare
As someone would who's lacking fresh air…
Don't cause a scare…
Just give them a hug!
And exterminate the bug!

You need to understand
The complexity in the other side
That you never shove aside
As you look into it even farther than inception…
Acting like a brother and sister unit would
Always extending a hand
Never to be bland
Providing an indestructible bond
Only to those deserving the magic ring!

Just be there
And don’t be a square…
Be real like natural waters
And you'll create a rainbow
In a world where beauty is necessary to thrive

Mental Illness

I decided to write this one because I know many people who have suffered from mental illness. I think people should have a true understanding and be aware of what a mental illness really is, as well as acknowledging its existence! It's just disturbing to see how many people ignore it or decide to judge other people because they think that person is "sad all the time"...

Pain is more than a physical ailment…
While the human race is one that should be simple, but isn’t,
You only see someone's outside
And are unable to feel their inside…
Inside could be filled with unicorns and rainbows,
With blood and hatred,
Or even a tearful sorrowed sky…

You never know…

People are so judgmental these days,
Triggering some to break down
Some to back down
Others to fight back!

A visible smile could mean a world of hurt,
While straight face can mean relaxed or content!

You never know…

A small figure may represent fear…
A large figure may represent carefree…

You never know
Awareness is a must
We're all from the same dimension
That isn’t all smiles unfortunately…

Everyone feels that people need to see unicorns and rainbows all the time…
That is a false assumption!
People turn a blind eye to sorrow
People give a cold shoulder to suffering
People turn their back on someone who’s intensely ailing internally
People want to seize the day without introducing themselves to the truth…

Sheltered...

Confidence may not be bolstering through everyone
Coughing or sneezing isn't the only representative of an illness
It can be buried within your soul as well!

What does that mean?

People who are very jacked up in the head,
It isn't always their fault
You can't point a finger to depression, anxiety, and other mental illnesses…

For all you judgmental people all there,
Don't blindside someone's internal feelings and think they’re full of crap…
These painful emotions are worse to suffer through than a cough or cold
And could even kill you
At the most spontaneous time…
You never know…

Think about that and see how you feel now…
Don't blindside the unknown!
You don't know what it truly means until you're faced with it!

If you see someone’s apparent sorrow
Extend your hand and place it upon their heart…

It can truly save a life!
